You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

Hi, there, join the happy throng.
But why do you plan a clutch change?

Re: hello to the peeps
Need to do the clutch as at high revs the engine just spins up without the bike going any faster! That and it judders at low revs when the throttle is cracked open And whilst im at it im going to do the oil and filter

If you're using fully synthetic oil it sometimes makes the clutch slip.Mister Stu wrote:Need to do the clutch as at high revs the engine just spins up without the bike going any faster! Try a change to semi-synth first if you are using fully-synth ATM.
The grabby clutch problem affects some bikes and isn't easy to cure.
Makes fast launches difficult as the clutch locks up as you add full throttle in lower gears while slipping clutch.
I have some spare clutches if you need parts- PM me if you need any.
Bought them in trying to solve grabby clutch problem without success!
But when I changed the engine the replacement doesn't do it.

Re: hello to the peeps
I think that its definatly the clutch on its last legs because its engaging right at the end of the lever travel the lever travel is silky smooth so i think its just worn out! It has done 18500 miles and thats some punishment when its attached to a V-twin

Re: hello to the peeps
Bite point isn't much of an indicator as it's got a hydraulic clutch, and you can't adjust like a cable one.
But doesn't cost much to do, so worth trying to see if you can get over the slippage.
But Storm clutches take a fair amount of abuse, and mine, for instance, went over 60,000 including drag strip abuse once a year.
