Just to show my storm. This will be the slowest rebuild in history as I am on a limited budget and have a new baby (human not bike). There is a lot to do but so far most of it seems to be cleaning and polishing.
The bike was standing in a barn for about 2 years. And i got it for the princely sum of £100
will post up dates (slowly) as and when.
Paulo
Ah yes but the misses only agreed to this one as she thinks I will never get it on the road plus I told her that it only has 2 pistons so is only half as fast
good luck getting her going, tbh shouldnt be hard to get her going, ful service, new petrol, battery and tyres, new pads and split and clean calipers, new brake and clutch fluid and that would have her going well i reckon
Put a new battery in tonight. fired up after 3 turns (I forgot the choke is not on the handlebar).
Sounded great but now to start looking for other parts like
Brake pads and fluid
The clutch lever is sticking so will have to look at that.
Tyres and one mirror other than that I think it is fine oh yeah cct's because I don't when they were done.
But looking like for a few hundred quid more I will be on the road.
It's been a long time since I last rode a bike that I cant wait (10 years cbr600).
Don't worry Marra
at this rate his new young baby will be going to college by the time he finishes and he'll still be skint too
Only kidding Paul
The better weather's coming and I'm sure that will give you a bit of incentive too
My new ride is a bit of a Howler and I love to make her Squeal
I warned you it would be slow. The bike is stored in a 7x6 shed and with the snow and wet weather I haven't been able to get her out since then. Full steam ahead now though but remember steam engines are very slow
oh yeah how come no where on this forum does it tell me how rough you have to be to get the bloody seat off
