Operation Storm 2010 - A Venue

And camping in the summer is just shimples.
Sold.

I'd like to suggest a venue not too far from the middle of the mainland. I was up in the Peak district last year and ached to be there on the bike as 20 of them passed (I was in my hiking boots). I promised myself a ride there this year. Rides into Matlock, Buxton and the like would be a real grin and these places are full of bikers. So most have flashy pointy rides but think of a Pack of Storms! I got (dreaming) thinking and after some digging about for a venue for Op Storm, I read on a few bike club boards about their meets/trips/camping etc and found this a common venue in a few.

I gave them a bell and was told by a friendly lady that bikers are welcome and they have a few Bike Clubs camp there through the year. So explaining that we're a dedicated, respectable and mature UK Forum of Honda VTR Owners (ahem :eh: ), the price is £7.50 per night (make it Fri23rd/Sat24th?) and I await the call from Mr Green (tomorrow) to see what he can do for our 'Club'.

What do you think?
Starts with a R. Rrrrrrrr. Motorbike!

As I said on the other thread.- Pick a venue and a date and just do it. some will come, some wont, but you cant please all the people all the time.

now you just need someone with good knowledge of the local roads [and the ones to avoid due to cops or traffic]

So count me in

Sounds good, lots of pubs within walking/staggering distance, go for it.

Dunno about keeping to legal limits, though, never tried it.

Can it be done?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I liked the idea of The Vic, meeting up, food drink and laugh, plus we can crash on the function room floor- less luggage to carry!
