I am crying, Martin's life is over

Post by theflyingpig »

Its with sadness and tears that I write to tell you all, that Martin passed away at 3.30pm today.

I was by his side throughout. He knew that he was about to die and thankfully the District Nurse was also with me.

Forever loved, forever missed.

Truly sorry to read this, and of course I'm thinking of you and all those who knew Martin, but especially you, Norma, as you've really drawn the short straw lately....

Can't speak for anyone else, but it makes me feel grateful for everything I've got, despite what in comparison now seem petty problems.

Words don't do it, so I'll leave it there.

Never met you or Martin, but love anyway.

Deepest sympathies.

I didn't know either of you, but reading Martin's thread showed me how quickly a life can go. It also showed me the importance of someone's love and support was and is. Your humour in the face of terrible difficulties, and your constant support for him is a huge testament to you, and to the love you shared.

I know that you will feel pain and tremendous sadness at his passing. I know (from personal experience) that you will go through a multitude of emotions over the coming months (especially when everyone has gone and you are at your loneliest). All of these emotions are valid. A day will come when you will be able to look back on his life and the time you spent together without feeling that a part of you is being ripped away. Then you will be able to savour your time together and remember all of the good times.

Again, I offer my condolences to you and your family.

I'm very sorry too hear this sad news Norma.

You stood by your man Marty, and nursed him through this horrible illness, which meant you had to put your thoughts and feelings to one side, you could not have done more. Now he's at peace and is no longer suffering.

My Heartfelt Condolences to you, your family, and friends to the both of you!

RIP Marty.

Love, Chris.

I knew neither of you but read Marty's reports etc.
Nothing I can say will really help but my thoughts are with you Norma at this dreadful time. To have someone stolen away so cruelly is something I can't begin to imagine.
Best wishes to you for the future, Chris x

So sorry to be reading this

Deepest condolences to you and your family. Never got to meet Marty but from what I can gather he was an absolute top fella.

I'm sure you'll always be proud of him Norma-the way you both have fought on through his illness leaves me with a lump in my throat...

Again, so sorry to read this :(

RIP Big Man.
