Keep and eye on eBay for a secondhand one- and you'll need to take the swing arm spindle out to replace the hanger. Use the rear wheel spindle from the other side if you don't have the means to hoist the bike up.
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Yep best get a replacement...

If you can get one complete with the brake pedal & footpeg all the better but not hard to swap your bits over if you cant.

The brake pedal is held on by a circlip on the back of the plate. There is a small bolt at the front that has a spacer on it, which is bound to fall out when you take it off, dont forget to put it back in.

Just had a look on evil bay there are a few L/H ones but no R/H ones.... Typical !

Have a trawl through any adds from breakers...

Thanks Wicky and MacV2
this is a bugger.. the common left side can be found by the handfull on ebay at ca 15 bucks. The right side is categorised as a chickens tooth! Ive found a couple at breakers but price :eek2
Think im going to have to play the waiting game. I suppose one plus is that the bikes mileage is going to be more attractive when i come to sell

slight update ive found a guy who can fix the hanger... result...
So im guessing the rear wheel spindle trick is to push that through at exactly the same time as removing the pivot spindle? im also guessing thats not nearly as easy as it sounds?

It depends on what side the nut is on... If the nut is on the right you wont have to remove the spindle.

If the nut is on the left you will...Take the rear wheel out & use the spindle to push the swingarm spindle through & out...You will need to have the bike suspended to do this, cant use an ABBA stand as that locates on the swingarm spindle, cant use a paddock stand as you want weight off the swingarm... Hang it from the rafters if you have them, or you can use a large step ladder as an A frame over the rear.
