Speedo light gone

Post by jchesshyre »

If it's not the bulb and both tacho lights are fine, am I right in thinking the fault has to be between the connector block and the bulb holder, i.e. does the live feed to the speedo+tacho bulbs split after the connector?

I'm slightly confused because the wiring diagram shows the live wires for all three bulbs as brown but on mine ('98 bike) the live for the speedo lamp is orange.

It can also be a poor connection on the circuit board behind the clocks.
The small screws rust, causing a poor connection.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Yeah I did notice these looking a bit rusty. Are these local earth connections for the instrument bulbs? I couldn't work out what their purpose is.
