I am in Australia,

I got a shock from a bloke in the States named Daugherty.

He trades as DMr ( Daugherty Motor Racing, his name is Jamie )!and does a VTR specific shock made from a modded CBR600f4i unit, it is adjustable for everything including length. Jamie owns a VTR himself so had a good insight into what the bike lacked in the back shock department.

I have ZX10 USD forks with Triumph radial brakes and this shock is more than a match.

Does away with the rear shim as well due to the adjustable length.

He sent me a chart for my specs and 3 weeks later I had the shock .

I have had mine for about 12months now and clocked up about 13,000'miles and its held up well under all conditions.

Look him up , his shocks are great .

Thanks for the recommendations.
At the moment I´m going to ask a refund, I´m replacing now the defective one for original one, that is ok, in fact, I didn´t notice too much difference, if any, between the 21 years old original and the YSS. After some time, when I forget again the hard work to change it, I will decide for a better one that actually improve the bike performance.
