Rounded cam sprocket bolts

Post by mdb »

Hello again,
I am replacing a shim in the rear cylinder and two of the cam sprocket bolts are slightly rounded (both the lower ones). When putting it back together I would like to replace them. Is my only option Honda original at £3.58 each or does anyone know the size and thread of these.

Honda list them as "Bolt, Flanged 7x10.5".

I know it seems a bit tight, but £7 for two small bolts just gets my back up. My mother comes from Yorkshire.
Yes, I can go to an engineering supplies firm and see if I can match them up, but I live in Chepstow and the nearest is 20 miles away.

Thanks in advance if anyone can help, otherwise I'll have to dust of the wallet and bend over for Honda.

In the end I used the rounded ones again. I will search for decent repolacemnts for next time I have the cam cover off.
