That I don't know!! they seem pretty good, I told him I cant get over 7,000 revs, told him a fair few people have had this problem and say its the timing on the back cylinder out 180....... he did say, then how`s it running then??? but least this wasn't the mechanic talking lol, surely a timing issue would be easy for them to sort out???

the 180 out can be confusing, because that is at the cam, at the crank it is 1 full turn out.

it is the relationship between when the rear cyl is on its firing stroke and how soon before the front is on its firing stroke.... Each cyl has 2 TDCs so you can have 2 options for the relationship and in both cases it will start and run fine [at low revs].
but if there is only 1/4 crank rev between rear intake and front intake stroke, the airbox cant fill fast enough as the revs get higher and it runs out of breath at 6 to 7000

Well that explains it then  The problem here is that not all mechanics are used to working on V Twins so think 4cyl. You'd have better luck going to a Harley garage  They would at least understand. If you have the time then why not have a go yourself it's not too difficult. You'll me amazed the bike still runs with cams spun 180.
