Alternative speedo?

Post by artee »

Hi.
Is there an alternative speedo I can fit to my 97 bike.
All I want is big digits. I don't want to replace the whole assembly just the speedo.
My eyesight is just getting to the point where I can't see the figures on the normal speedo but not at the point I need glasses to drive/ride.
Maybe an additional speedo that has large digital figures?
Can any one point me in the right direction.

stick a magnifying glass over the speedo.

Get a new speedo face made up with larger font size for the numerals and installed

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

I know that sounds nuts but they do make a clear magnifying plastic sheet for reading books. That may just work for this application.

Disconnect it, you only need the rev counter, then you only need to fit a light for the rev limiter.
