Thanks chaps. I wasn't sure what blade swingarm I'd used! Haha I just knew it looked the same as the ones in this thread

I'll get searching later

The Blade hugger leaves a gap between the rear edge of the sprocket cover and the brace, and I've cut up a standard Storm chain guard to cover the gap, otherwise the chain flings lube over the back of the engine and your leg.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Thanks Tony, would this do the trick? I'm not keen on huggers...

The rear will fit the front will need a new mount made and welded to the swing arm brace and best to get it done the same time as the other welding

Jamie these should fit ok -

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-CBR900- ... 1e7c26659e

or-

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-POWERBRON ... 1e74e033d0

obviously these are new and at the exy end of the market. You could go for the standard plastic blade parts or wait for some 2nd hand carbon kit to appear.
Good luck fella

Hate to disagree Lloydie but the front fits straight on once the brace is installed -

Thanks for the links Kev

I'm glad you alerted me to that bracket lloydie, swingarm is still unwelded at present, so will order the chaingaurds first to get the bracket location. :)

I've got the R1 option on mine if you want some pics to see what it's like to help you make a choice?
Why ask... sometime you just go to do it and find out?

Thanks gl_s_r, does the R1 type have any previous coverage on here? If not... was it a fairly simple job? Does it include the chaingaurds? As I'm not too keen on having a hugger (oddly enough).

Cheers mate, I do like the look of that actually. I just can't stand the huge plastic integrated chaingaurd/hugger things!

I'll start with just a fireblade chainguard and see how I go.
