Exhaust Can More Aggressive Stance!

Post by RobVTwin »

I've been mucking about cutting and pasting. Not wanting a noisy exhaust and liking the stock round can look, I think this steeper angle could work :)

Hunt around on here and you'll find info on making a plate to change the angle the passenger foot rests sit at and that'll give a steeper angle. Might be it only works with after market cans though as the link pipe needs to be rotated to the outside on each side.

The lh pipe rotates easily as the join is near 90 degrees to the side, but the rh join is at 45 degrees or so, therefore the can ends up outwards as well as up.
To get them symmetrical, custom links are the solution.

Look at the angles on SP's to see how it looks.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

MHP Exhausts are just up the road from me. I've spoken to them regarding cutting and re welding the link pipe to the can to the required angle. I've got a spare (ruined) can to be experimented on.

Looks like it can be done by cutting and re welding the link pipe. The test confirmed my heel still misses the can in the raised position.
