What do you think of this bike?

Post by felix barrao »

I own one VTR, but constantly I look at the loco motorcycle aids.
I have found this fairly cheap VTR-1000, ( 1300€). It´s very modified, but the seller says that everything is street legal. The front suspension is from a Kawasaki ZXR. I was thinking about buying it, to play a little for fun....
What do you think? Any thoughts about the ZXR fork?

This is the bike

It looks OK for that money. You should be able to put the side rads back on and a standard or race fairing if you don't like the naked look. I think Fabiostar had ZXR forks on one of his Storms.

I like the look of it

I also thought Fabiostar had one of his Storms that had ZXR forks, it was the yellow one I think,

looks a well put together fighter type storm..

as the lads said i put the front end from a ZX7R (kinda the same thing) into my yellow bike. handled really well and the brakes were great.

you could sell the front end and high rise pipes and end up with a very cheap storm if you went back to a more standard look.
the older i get,the faster i was

Thanks, guys.
If I finally get I will keep in that way, making only paintwork to the fairings, fuel tank and wheels, just to have some different, I already own a classic nice red VTR...
