Didn't see this thread first time round, I have a feeling they were originally commisoned by Doble motorcycles and painted by dream machine, they had a few done. At the time Doble bought loads of Firestorms in a deal from Honda they were offering good prices to shift them, I know this as I bout one (in standard colours) so it must have been cheap  also It's possible other dealers once seen may have had the same paint job done to help shift stock. there were also some repsol versions including the greeny coloured one like the Fireblade of the time (reverse repsol they called it though I never got that description).

FYI, There were no Official Honda special paint jobs or special bike. All were done by Dealers or Honda UK.

Yes, commissioned by Honda UK and built by Russell Savory (RS performance)
It was also a complete paint job not just stickers on a red one. They had Ohlins damper, Proflex shock, Harris rearsets, Remus End cans.
Therefor in my opinion they are worth more than a standard one, if mint worth a decent premium over stock but no where near the crazy money some are asking.
