wtf has went wrong with prices

Post by fabiostar »

no no not storms, i know you can buy a storm for £3,25 these days.

iv been looking something older. even better if its a wee 2 stroke. LCs and the like are mental money but something oddball would be nice, just to play about with over winter, KH100/125, RD125, RD80 even one of the 1980s sports peds but cant find anything at even close to normal :eek2 ..

it seems the world has went mad for these type of bikes. :eek2

unless anybody on here has something tucked away in the back of a shed??
the older i get,the faster i was

everybody in their 40s and 50s are buying up the bikes of their youth from the 80s ... so its already too late for that era of bikes!

but there might still be something in a local shed that hasn't been found yet, just keep looking

keep hold of the firestorm, it has to be 5 yrs away from becoming the next wave of classics.

glad I have my 76 KH125, but still wish it was bigger version

It’s got a hydraulic disc conversion on it now as the cable operated caliper was crap, the back drum was more effective.

Makes me smile every time I ride it, but I have to slipstream cars to pass them on A roads as it tops out at 75 with me lying on the tank like a moto3 rider.

Sadly the secondhand prices for two strokes started to climb soon after they went out of mass production :problem:

The smart money's now chasing cheap 4 stroke 125 and 250's.
Whatever you first rode, hit a ton (indicated) on or got a girl to agree to get on the back of, that's what you'll spunk money on in a few years, trying to regain your lost youth, or at least, catch him up at the next set of lights.
For making money, pick up a clean YZF and leave it in your garage under a dust sheet. Or, for a longer term investment, early Hornets 16" wheel ones.
You're already too late for Blades and R1's.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
