Post by Kev L »

Had a brilliant day out on Saturday. Highly recommended if you get the chance,

Just some of the bikes, plenty more and some quality racing.

I love it there - haven't been for 3 years but should be going next year.
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

Definitely going again next year. Troy Corser ragging the butt off of a 1936 BMW ridged rear from way down the field to the lead was a sight to behold. :eek2
The racing Broughs and Vincent’s were beautiful, as were the early Indians & Henderson’s.

As an aside anyone going to the new/revived MCN show at Ally Pally 21st to the 23rd September?

That was the Sunday race when the pro’s went out second. The Saturday race the pro’s started, Corser fought through to the lead but his co rider managed to lose it during his stint.

The best sounding vehicle was a Plymouth Barracuda with open pipes. It sounded biblical, like the four horseman of the apocalypse were riding open piped Harley’s whilst playing the Star spangled banner on chainsaws. Phenomenal. The lotus Cortinas beat it though!
