Pics of Modified Exhaust

Post by cheekykev »

All finished now  decided to give them a satin brush finish, not really in to shiny when it comes to exhaust, shiny should only be on old bikes and Harleys
Will be starting her up tomorrow so I'll find out if I need to make a db killer or not :D

Looking good Kev. How much weight do you think you have lost by gutting them? Is that some of you welding handywork I see around the base of the outlets.

Yes that's my welding, I decided to clean the weld off and bullnose the outlet ends, thought they would look better like that, in my opinion they do.
They now weigh in at 3.5 Kg each, that's including the link sections, so not that bad, people go on about weight here and there, but in my opinion if you're that bothered get on a diet, no point shedding weight off your bike and being 15 stone plus
Yeah I'll find out tomorrow, uk13iker and a another furom member are coming over in the morning, we'll crank her up and have general consesous of opinion, if they're too load it's not a problem, I'll just copy what I did with my BMW

just for comparison, oem cans with link pipes are 10kg both, while arrow race cans without baffles and with link pipes are 4,5kg.

If I have next storm some day, it will have oem cans, I miss the quiet rumble sound.
