What to spend my £££££ on?

Post by loinstallion »

So I collect a not so bad condition (Yellow) 1999 beast next week. Bought so I can tinker with It. It has manual CCTs and I'll check the RR and other usual suspects first but I'm going to chuck a grand or so at it so any suggestions? I like the under seat can conversion and am assuming that's an easy job but now find myself looking at custom paint jobs........ surely not! I don't want to convert to a street fighter, although I might raise the bars, so any suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers 😁

depends if you want looks or function.

if you want function, then the list should be:
1) front suspension upgrade or replace as its too soft and a bit flexy
2) rear shock, or a the very least a softer spring on the std shock
3) brakes - hoses, pads and if you still don't think they are good enough tehn swap calipers and Master cyl of a CBR600 F4i
4) loud pipes
5) quick action Throttle
6) lightened flywheel

Oh dear. You are now addicted and you haven't even got it yet.The modification list goes on and on,i would forget about custom paint as in my opinion it would only spoil it even though it's yellow. :) :)

Get that Penske shock on ebay. Send your forks to Roger and Bob's ya uncle. Sod the rest an enjoy the sweet handling.

Psst. I'll have a QA throttle tube going spare pretty soon.

Just dream.
Then make it metal.

It's only a matter of money.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
