Storms, Tanks & Bacon...

Post by MacV2 »

So yesterday Vanstub came over to take his new ride for a ride as it was a nice sunny day...Only trouble was...the bastid thing wouldnt start, mucho nashing of teeth & trying different batteries...nish. We gave up & he went home.

Chargred the batt up over night... This morn I whipped the new batt I put on Custard last week & It started up staright away...

Steve came round again & brought with him the battery off his other bike which has been sitting outside since the late summer.

I put that one on it & again it fired up straight away...

So we both kitted up & went for a wee ride.

Which is where the tanks come in...I took him to have a look round the...

We only had a look around at the outside exhibits as there are a few bridging tanks parked up outside, Cromwell's, Centurions ect...He was like a kid in a sweet shop...

We hatched a plan to go back on another day & have a mooch around inside...

Which is where the bacon comes in...we left there & went & found a cafe & he bought the bacon sarnies.

Wazzed off home, got in a killswitch backfire in the Medway tunnel...

Thrashed it home. & Steve is more than happy to be back on two wheels. It still resides in the MacCave for now as he has to arrange a lift over to come & collect it.

Next up when it warms up abit more will be a trip up to Duxford for a mooch around there.

Then a trip down to Bovington at some stage, we might do that on the way back from DevonStorm...
