I had a Tuono (08) for two years, loved it,but needed constant maintenance/upgrades to keep tiptop.
never actually let me down tho.
very fast, easily kept up with muppets on faster sports bike, handled very well, confidence inspiring in rain.
sold it because i wanted a more traditional bike(vtr) and it freed up a load of cash,as the vtr was about a third of what I got for the Aprillia.
if money grew on the tree in my garden,I'd buy another tomorrow !

if I was buying a fun bike to play on my short list would be:

BMW S1000R
Aprillia V4 touno
Triumph Speed Triple
KTM superduke 1290
Triumph ThruxtonR

first time ever that there is no Jap bikes on the wish list, and no sports bikes ! sign of the times and old age

Kwak sx1000 are pretty good, apart from 4000 miles service intervals.
missing the noise, not the vibes. However never say never!

here! Here! a fine list indeed!

In my case, I would also add the GSX-S1000 and R1200RS
99 VTR1000F Firestorm, a.k.a. The Carbon Express
