Fuel tap vacuum hose

Post by jchesshyre »

Anyone found a good source for a replacement hose and clips for this? Mine had perished so I've replaced it with some vacuum hose from Halfords but it's a bigger external diameter so the clips don't fit, and this whole bit (hose + clips) seems to be discontinued from Honda. The hose is fine but I can't seem to find the right kind of clips for it anywhere.

The std Honda one for that is the little wire thing. Pain to get back on unless you have micro fingers.

I havent bothered with it TBH for some time now & not had an issue.

For the vac pipe extention on the front take off I have used these.

Thanks Mac. I've eventually managed to find these http://r.ebay.com/Wrv0qS which are perfect - I was searching for the wrong thing, 'hose circlips' instead of 'hose spring clips'

The stock vacuum hose is 3.5mm internal diameter (I think) and the stuff I've got is 3.2mm so initially was quite tight and didn't seem to need clips, but I'm now getting paranoid that it's not tight enough (oo er) - the outer diameter of the hose I have is 10mm so the above should work purrrfik.
