Something wrong...

Post by MacV2 »

...with this apart from the colour of course...

At first I thought it might of had a VFR tank fitted.

The pic from the other side doesnt seem to have the same cut out in the tank.

If you ask me that would be a little bit more than a split seam...

Says it's black, too.

Odd sort of hue for black....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I'm not convinced. If you look carefully and zoom in it may very well be cut like the right hand side. I think it's a bit of an optical illusion and the angle of the camera and lighting as well as being a low res pic making it look normal.

Agree with you Carl.Thats could be the reason it leaks as well. If you know what I mean.

Doesn't look like its been cut on the kerbside er side like the obvious cut out on the offside. The owner saying it leaks from the 'left' side depends how he defines left and right either from sitting on it or looking at it from the front. Non standard stickers hint at respray.

Weird. Why would somebody do that, unless it was to fit a snorkel and have some kind of ram air ?

I'm not convinced either. The best thing to do would be for someone to ask for a better photo of the nearside
Looking at the bigger picture ha ha, why would someone go to all that trouble to only do one side,

Maybe because after making the first sodding great hole in the petrol tank to give it a race replica Moriwaki look they found it leaked fuel :confused

PS Dafter things have been known - There was a while back a US chap called Shervin who modded his ZX10R and put 'mental' into emmental cheese...

Yeh it's defo looking one sided now  So an attempt of ram air and screwing it up. Change the tank and be done with it. Use it as a bargaining chip to reduce the price.
