I haven't got any money anyway and the kids seem happy walking on foam pads and duct tape

2 Bikes have to go to pay for this, borrowed temp to get it so have to pay back. It's all a juggling act

Thanks for the comments :D

Looking forward to getting out on it properly.
Don't know what the storm will feel like to ride compared to it, won't find out til next year as the little old buttercup is all cleaned and tucked up for winter.

Looks a bit Mad Max and the dash looks smiler to the Ducati with full LCD and all the electronics. Does it have a separate anti wheelie and traction control. I would imagine having less T/C with some anti wheelie would be fun. The Storm I reckon will feel really tame by comparison. Your riding a wild animal so don't let it bite you in the butt 8O I quite like the idea of these modern bikes with all the electronics. The only downside is when it comes to maintenance and any errors. Electronics are bit different from nuts and bolts. How comfortable are you with that side of things.

The more I think about it I think a Triumph Daytona 675R would suit me and be a half sensible bike, but for practicality and comfort purposes I like the new VFR's. Saving lots of money right now and still umming and arghing over what to get. I think I'm having a mid life crisis as there is a part of me that want to get something really nuts like a Panagali or an MV Augusta or maybe an Aprilia. It could be my last chance. I like the Thruxton R's too but they are way to expensive and you have to pull over and stop to adjust any of the electronics. There's also a side of me that thinks I should spend the money on something small and get back into despatch riding maybe a smaller CBR. Speculate to accumulate type thing. I need a new job and a happier lifestyle along with some freedom. I'm not happy right now and I miss riding.

Well worth the inconvenience and loss of the 2 bikes id say, an MT10 SP would be at the top of my "next bike" list. Congrats

Cables are on ebay for less than £20, then you can plug an OBD2 can reader in to read and clear fault codes. if you run the bike in gear on a paddock stand it can throw a code as it doesn't sense the front wheel moving, I wonder if it'll throw one up after a long wheelie or a rolling burnout

Anti wheelie isn't separate, supposedly it works in TC3 mode, but after my short ride so far it feels a bit like it's working in TC1 which is a shame, but not 100% yet on that, will know more as I get to know the bike.

I never thought it was going to happen! Congratulations The specs sound amazing. Poppers she looks like a real animal.
Personally I don't think you will get a wheelie in any mode whilst the TC is on (Thats the way my TC works) but it will still lift the wheel going over humps. Once the TC realises the front wheel is rotating at a different speed to the rear it automatically adjusts the ignition timing and brings it back down again.
Enjoy the new toy Buddy. Hopefully there will still be a few good dry days left before it gets too mucky out there and you can give us a proper report
