Insuring an Austrian bike

Post by StewartR »

Hi, my brother passed away recently and the silver lining was inheriting his Africa Twin, a real live proper 80s one.
It's registered in Austria and I need to ride it back. OK, I don't need to but I want to. In know I can have it 6 months before I have to register is in the UK but does anyone have any experience of insuring foreign registered bikes? Any firms to recommend?

Cheers, Stewart.

Hi, my last 2 bikes were jap market only bikes, and had no problem with insurance. They were both CBR 750 Hurricane's ( and still have one that I brought in 2001). I was lucky as they insured the as 600 CBR prices.
