It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Turn it round the other way so the bolt faces the opposite direction.

Hi, tried that and the remote canisters wouldn't go into the right place on the frame, but I think that is going to be the best way and get the canister and the remote swopped round, Thanks buddypopkat wrote:Turn it round the other way so the bolt faces the opposite direction.

Re: Ohlins rear shock
I have an Ohlins shock fitted to my bike. The canister is fitted to subframe L/H side and the remote is fitted to the subframe R/H side.
SO WHEN DOES THIS OLD ENOUGH TO KNOW BETTER KICK IN

Re: Ohlins rear shock
Hi, That is right but when I turn the shock around the canister will only fit on the right side with the remote adjuster on the same side, which looks to much on one sidealanfjones1411 wrote:I have an Ohlins shock fitted to my bike. Re: Ohlins rear shock
Seeing as there's a short hose That could well be where it was made to go, Reservoir on the subframe and preload adjuster with the longer hose bolted to the pillion hanger.carmanbikes wrote:Hi, That is right but when I turn the shock around the canister will only fit on the right side with the remote adjuster on the same side, which looks to much on one sidealanfjones1411 wrote:I have an Ohlins shock fitted to my bike. Cheers, Will try it in the next few days
Re: Ohlins rear shock
Some shocks are designed to run the remote on the right side of the bike.
The reason for this is that if you throw the chain, you will not damage the remote. It's a racing thing to limit damage.
On a street bike it is not that important which side it ends up on.
