So today I had another fracture clinic appointment...

I'm now on emergency waiting list to have my shoulder plated... could be anytime in the next 13 weeks...

Prob day surgery but may involve a night in hosp if a late appointment...

Apparently 4 weeks in a sling...

Can't wait to let work know the good news tomorrow...

Not only can we diagnose faults with our bikes but it seems some of us could be good consultants too  I'm sure a few of us commented that it looked like it needed plating early in the thread.

Hope it counts as the same sickness with work and not separate time off.

Not sure whether that's good news or bad news Mac. Either way at least it will hopefully all get sorted. I'm still waiting on appointment ents and such for the damage done to my hand last November in an accident at work. Unfortunately though I'm not in employment at the minute.
If it aint broke, get your bloody hands off it!

Well I have already warned them that I may need an op.

No doubt they will class it as a seperate time off but I'm still under thier Occupational doc's orders of less work/ light duties...

WTF!!! Day surgery?

Mac, be very careful. Not always a simple op. Lots of nerves around that area. Plus, it will be easy for you to feck it up by trying to use it too soon.

I will be adehring to the 4 weeks in a splint religously... Rolling ciggies may prove a bit awkward...May have to go cold turkey... :smoke1:

Ha! You think that's going to be easy? It's worse than having a cast. Good luck mate...

I read it as sling and I mean what I say. They feel good for the first 10 minutes...
