What earplugs do you use?

Post by Virt »

So when I came off the other week I destroyed the Bose QC20's I normally wear on the bike. They're basically noise cancelling earphones, cool sh1t (and so good, far better than any ear plugs I've used so far) but they're expensive and I don't want to pay for a new set

I've never liked the disposable ear plugs you can get at Halfords, I'd like something moulded to my ear. I used to use an R&G set from Amazon before the QC20's but they weren't great at all..

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks!

Been using the Pinlock ones for a while now.

They come as a pack of 4 with one set of little fillters to swap between the two different sizes you get...

Prior to that I used the mould yourself type ones...Good but you have to be carefull in the moulding process, I got two pairs out of the contents but one pair were slightly bigger & are not that comfy...Quite effective @ blocking the noise tho...

I'd give a solid  for the Pinlock ones...

Hope that helps...What, pardon...eh say again...

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

there are so many types and sizes and they all work differently for each user depending what shape your ear is... so i bought a selection bag of all sorts of earplugs and tried them till I found the ones that works.... then I bought a bag of those specific ones.

I thing I gave lloydie the left overs to try the same

I use these:
http://www.bikehps.com/acatalog/Motorcy ... VQ#au30916

Good for being able to hear what people are saying at petrol stations etc and hearing the intercom. Also have a good carry case. There's a few of these channeled types about, Auritech do similar ones as well, or custom mould with channels too http://www.auritech.co.uk/custom-fit/

I have a box of disposable Laser Lite's which block out more noise but get uncomfortable after a while.

I have the same, but never tried another reusable ones, so have no comparison. Cheap disposable just didn´t fit me well.

Doc's Pro Plugs, I got mine from my local musical instrument shop. They're not you usual roll & squeeze plugs, but rather pre molded to fit n your entire ear. Cut about 20db of noise, mainly from the top frequencies which are the most harmful, you can still have a conversation with them in without you shouting as well

Don't.
I paid for the sound and want to hear it all.
I have earplugs, but only for the wife to wear at gigs and for her to wear when we're camping or at festivals, when apparently I snore and there isn't another room to go to.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I use plugphones.

Check them out on amazon, they're about 12 quid and they're spot on.

100% comfy and cut out more noise than foam plugs.
