There was someone on here a couple of years back building a special with a helmet as the rear light.

Yep your right and this looks like the completed thing. I also recognise the pointy bits on the frame. There was a build thread on here somewhere, but the guy did not post much or get involved with the rest of the forum. I'm sure I have it bookmarked somewhere.

different, and surely the product of a whole lot of work. What springs to mind when I see it, however, is a classic case of "the answer to the question no one asked".....

On a more serious note, you can't knock the amount of work gone into the build. Not exactly to my taste either, but surely building something different is all about what you like, not someone else.

I'm not sure what your question would be Micky, mine would be, why are the front forks piggybacked onto the first chopped set of stanchions :?: My guess would be a clearance issue between the front cylinder-head and the front wheel/tyre :?:
