PETCOCK

Post by Theodio »

Dear all,

I'd like to frwd 1 question:

If the petcock works OK, if you take off the hoses from it without turning it off, fuel will come out or it should not?

With the tape turned on or off you shouldn't get any fuel leaking out .
It's the diaphragm that let's the fuel loose .

sh1t.
after 7 months of searching why my bike doesnt go well after 6000 rpm finally thanx to you i discovered that i have a faulty petcock and 180' timed out!!
First thought it was the carbs. Cleaned them and pu Dynojet (180 mains) and needles. It had 162/165 mains!!!!!!!!! after the problem at 6500_+ rpm got worse!! Now I wont rev past 6500. Boggs down, spits like too much fuel goes in. Before could past 6000 rpm very slow. Anyway, I have much work to do...
(pipercross filter+freeflow exhausts)
Thank you very much!!
