Full Bike & Extra Block Spares/Repairs

Post by Squiffythewombat »

Hi All,

So i have the following bike & parts for sale. I can break for parts or sell as a lot, don't mind. Its a bit of a mess to say the least:

Good Points:
V5 for frame, lump and spare block
Lost of history of recent work completed on engine and various bits
Recently reconditioned starter motor
Back shock seems to work ok
It has character? (Who am I trying to kid!)

Bad Points:
Current engine has crack behind starter motor. (Spare block with V5 included)
General condition is not good, rusty spots here and there
Rear hangers - i have no idea in gods name what the previous owner was thinking here
Looms - Generally have been "chav-ed" with third party alarm (currently "disconnected")
Rectifier seems to be some weird block of OEM standard wired in by a small child
Bolts - Some are random house screws, you know the sort of retard bodge job fixes here and there
Seat - well it's there...but obviously, it has a rip!
Tank - been painted by kids, filler cap is what i like to call "pre-sanded" with some lovely 90s anodized bolts...chavtastic!
There are no exhausts or downpipes or brake lines or levers or good points really

Included Parts:
The remains of several bits of fairing. One original in red (but tatty) and one Chinese copy in black with a red skull on. All fairings have been "cut down" for high-rise bars... and by that i mean hacked to death by some form of early man.
Crack & Gearbox - amazingly look in good condition
Engine casings - again look to be in good condition however, predictably the same expert mechanic had a go at the bolts on these too!
Assorted other tat including fairing infills, headlight surounds etc
Pyamid belly pan - will deffo need a respray. Has had an extra hole cut for some reason
Mirror extenders - though these look like theyve been through a bush backwards, will need painting!

Not Included:
Wheels, front forks, NS engine casing, CCTs

I'll try and post more photos this afternoon of various parts. As you can see, great for parts if you are doing a rebuild or if you need anything! As for price for the lot i'm really not too sure and happy to take offers? or SWAPS for things?

EDIT - Forum rules - i have to set a price - I'm putting £250 ONO - with lots of stress on the offer part - i'm expecting to be beaten down haha!

Fantastic ad...I think it should sell...

Apart from all that has it ever been damaged ?

BTW the R/R is the later type plug & play (off CBR125 ?) better than stock but still not fail proof...
Making up since 2007, sometimes it's true...Honest...

Thanks guys, if it doesn't sell on here I will put on ebay - any input on how much i should ask would be great as i know i paid far too much and really don't want the next buyer to be in the same boat!

From what i can tell Mac, no.... It's got LOADS of paperwork, have receipts for around £900's worth of work done in the last year on it. The previous owner paid £2k in 2013 for her :(

Quite possibly - i'll take some more pics but it deffo looks aftermarket to me thats for sure!

I gave her a good wash yesterday and have to say she looks way better... i mean one can't polish a turd but i'll try and put some more pics on today for everyone

I was almost tempted to add it to my collection of unfinished projects

It is the r&r from a cbr125 As Mac said. I fitted one to my storm and it's been fine so far

Is this the same bike you've just bought?

I'm afraid not, no headlight, clips or even the rubber surround :/ (Sorry I totally forgot to comment on the other thread)
