Benny's Bike Parts

Post by Miztaziggy »

This is going to be a really long thread as there are 60 pictures to put up.

Adyf and I picked up most of the firestorm stuff from Benny's garage and Ady has very kindly cleaned it up a bit and taken photos for me to put on here. Thanks mate you're a star :)

It would be great if Marty or someone with similar knowledge could look through this and give me a budget price for each of the bits. If you could post up with a simple list of parts against a price.

If you would like to bid on a part please PM me.

1. Benny's helmet - no damage on it, still useable or perhaps a souvenir?
Image

2. A random micrometer we found amongst other parts. Works ok.
Image

3. Double bubble screen for firestorm
Image

4. Fireblade seat cowl from his new bike
Image

5. Rear hugger, we think from the blade
Image

6. K&N filter for the storm
Image

7. Some sort of gas mixing stuff that was with a compressor he used to spray his bike. No idea what these do.
Image
Image

8. 4 into 1 pipes, not sure what they have come off or what they will fit
Image

9. Part broken engine. Cams and most of top end missing. Can someone tell me what parts if any will be worth salvaging from this?
Image

10. A random torque gauge we found amongst some parts
Image

11. Martin's rear paddock stand
Image

12. Martin's front paddock stand. It's a good one in Aluminium.
Image
Image

13. Random selection of engine parts removed from the broken engine including an alternator and cover, levers, spindles, fans, relays etc
Image

14. Rear sprocket carrier and spacer
Image

15. Subframe and plastic under tray thing
Image
Image

16. The spray gun he used to spray the storm white
Image

17. Swing arm and linkage. Sprayed black.
Image

18. Wiring loom and electronic units
Image

19. Fast action throttle. This was packaged ready to send, not sure if it had been paid for. If you're on here and have paid for this please let me know.
Image

20. Exhaust pipes and hangers
Image

21. A random massive roll of tubing.
Image

22. An HID conversion kit and lamps.
Image

23. The frame linked to the V33 VTR plate. His wife is sorting the V5 so for now let's assume it will be sold with that plate.
Image
Image

24. Tyres. Quite a few race scrubs. Most look pretty good. I might bid on some of these myself for the track. First photo shows the make and model and second shows the tread.

25. Firestorm wheels in white. Front has a tyre on it already.

26. Radiators sprayed black
Image

27. Firestorm front mud guard
Image

28. Fuel tap thing
Image

29. Clocks. No idea of the mileage on these, if he already tried to sell these someone may know?
Image

30. Rear light unit
Image

31. 2 sets of electronic ignition unit things
Image

32. Pillion foot rests
Image

33. Front brake calipers and hoses
Image

34. No idea what this is
Image

35. Clutch cover
Image

36. Thermostat (thanks Lloydie)
Image

37. Front sproket cover and clutch unit
Image

38. Air box
Image

39. Standard blade exhaust. Not sure what to do with this.
Image

40. Yolks and spindle
Image

41. Rear brake caliper
Image

42. Almost complete engine. Has 2 manual CCTs on it. Do we sell this off in parts, and if so, what parts are best to sell off, or do we sell this whole?

No mate couldn't find them. We did take the heads off that one and it has standard cams. We're hoping that he posted them during the week.

If that engine is the one I sold him, then it's missing engine number so might have to be sold in bits.

Those gauges in pic 7 look like the manual type gauges for doing air con.

No sign yet, still hoping, He did pm me that he would get them out last weekend, so maybe they'll turn up during the week.

There will be lightened alt rotors on those engines, by the way- they'll be worth more than std ones. And there will be the fancy breathers on one of those engines, have a look.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Yes mate, but without trying them on that bike I can't be sure that's what they're for. Also AFAIK Benny never had a ZX9, no not sure why he would have these. All I can think is they are mislabelled or they will fit something else.
