For Sale...Cam upgrade, anyone?

Post by tony.mon »

As part of the latest engine rebuild I need to sell off some bits and pieces, so here's an offer:

It's simple to fit exhaust cams instead of inlet cams- they swap straight over for a performance boost. I have a pair of exhaust cams in good nick, complete with sprockets, for £30 plus P+P, unless you can pick them up from Sevenoaks, Kent..

But if you prefer I can fit them, and of course do the valve clearances, and do a full service for you, for £100 plus the parts cost, but including the cams and shims.
So it'll cost you £100 plus some oil, an oil filter, and a pair of plugs. I can also replace the air filter, (unless you have a reusable one fitted) if you want to bring one along.

It'll be a ride-in, ride-out service at my workshop near Sevenoaks, and will take four to six hours, roughly. You're welcome to watch or join in, of course.

I've probably got two sets available.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I have a spare set too but don't know what's involved in fitting them .
I might send you my spare heads and ex cams for a little work :-)

You've upset Gregory* now.
It's her home you're talking about, where she watched her eggs-runmate being snaffled by a fox, you heartless bunch.
There was no claws for all that, in my humble opinion.
beak ind, please, and stop ruffling her feathers.

Hopefully it's all ova now.

*after Gregory Peck, natch.
