blowing main fuse at solinoid

Post by minty »

Hi all
I am having trouble with main fuse blowing at solenoid.
Battery was charged when the oil was being changed and new filter put on when I put the battery back in and went to connect it up the fuse blew.I left battery connected put in a new fuse but when I went to put the connector back on it just shorted straight away. what is puzzling me is no ignition on. its a direct short but looking at the loom I cant see anything stripped back to the frame to cause this
anyone any ideas
thanks MINTY

Have you got the battery the right way round?
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

When some idiot put the battery in the wrong way round in my bike I had the main fuse go over and over. Turned out I just needed to change the reg rec and problem was solved as it was fried.
If you don't try you never know if you can do it.
