Manual CCT adjustment - how do you know it needs adjusted

Post by Davie_A »

When I bought my Storm it had Manual CCTs fitted, these were done about 1000 miles ago, bike has now done 10k, how do you know when the CCTs need adjusting? and when they do need adjusting do you need to strip down to expose the chains to allow measuring the slack in the chains as per Carls write up, or is there a simpler method :D

cheers

Wouldn't worry about them until you need to check the valve clearances at 16k. As long as the engine is not making any other odd noises and is running as it always has then you should be fine.
