Please do keep the photo's coming on assembly Nick, as you can't really see it that much once the fairing is back on

Ha ha, if only you knew. I hate sh1t being strewn all over the place - a place for everything and everything in its place, is want my old man used to tell me. The trouble is I don't have enough space to have a place for everything. I just pack stuff away neatly and then have to pull loads of stuff out to find what I need. It drives me insane.

I'd have had the plumbing in too if I hadn't hunted for my rearsets for half and hour. It turned out the were still, neatly, attached to the old swingarm in the shed. Buried under and load of bodywork.

Looking good Nick

You can definitely see how much more meaty the bottom yoke is compared to the standard item now you've fitted it 8)

Thanks for taking the time to post the photo's

Looks great.
how much lower does that yoke go down the fork leg than the standard yoke ?
I'm guessing the top of the yoke is the same height as stock, so looking at thickness. I'd consider it for the race bike but due to the VFR headstock being a fair bit longer there's less available travel for the forks, they dive pretty close to the stock yoke, if too deep then i'd have to raise the front of the bike.

Good point that. It's twice the depth easily. I'll do some measuring and see what clearance there is.

Custom top triple can solve it, if there is space around.

It's starting to look more like a bike now. The pic below is how I started on Wednesday but the only noticeable difference is the fairing is now on. That was a good hour of measuring, testing and marking before I drilled the holes in the fresh paint. Note to self: drill holes first next time.

The rest of the day was spent bleeding brakes and clutch, trimming the dash to stop the clutch line fouling with the new clip-ons and fitting the water temperature gauge. I got fed up with still having a spongy lever so sacked it off. As I was tidying up I found the fresh bottle of Dot 4 I'd bought for the job. I wondered why I couldn't remember opening it and using most of it - I was used the bottle I opened close to a year ago .
