Ok so been thinking about overhauling the bike or selling it for a while. And once you add the price of selling the VTR plus what overhaul would cost it's probably close to £2800-3000 maybe more, and for that there's some nice bikes out there, however I doubt any would sound as nice as a VTR with full akrapovic system. So I've decided to keep the vtr and do some work to her over the next few months the plan is this.
Full respray plus sticker kit.
K tech fork springs and rebuild
New EBC wavy disks.
YSS rear shock
Wheels hydro dipped carbon effect
New levers grips QA throttle.
New bearings
Possible engine strip and respray
And probably more that I've missed.

Pontins blue coats donkey derby riders bely your assertion.
But good progress on the refurb
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Haha I was thinking about going blue. I found out my bike used to be yellow as sticker on subframe is for yellow paint. Also always known under the tank was yellow but it's red on logbook so save sending off for a colour change I've kept it red. Fairings sprayed but in work tonight so left them drying will put back on in the morning and take some pics. Going to the Isle of Man for practice week tomorrow so wanted to make a start on the bike or would of probably been another 6-12 months deciding what to do with it hoping it's finished for the Birmingham meet.

So forgot to add pictures of final spray job although not got round to front mud guard or rear tail. Here’s one a before and after. Hopefully putting stickers on over the weekend Armstrong discs fitted, grips and HRC throttle tube to be fitted over the weekend service and carb balance also considering doing TPS to as close to 500 is it worth doing? Also going down another tooth on front sprocket to a 14 tooth all this should be done over the weekend. Then over the next month or so new k tech fork springs and oil plus forks resprayed and yss rear shock that will be it for a while. Although I’m thinking of selling the MT and buying a SP1/2.

More jobs done quick polish of rims ideally need to be off the bike and use a small polishing wheel but not too bad for by hand. Discs fitted Stickers on grips fitted and ASV lever from Kermit just need to order a brake one now. Also will have a lightened flywheel once it’s ready and quickshifter is getting ordered in next few weeks along with my forks being sent off to roger. Will also be ordering some new auto ccts and hoping to get the stopper mod done by someone off here kind enough to give me a hand.
