Managed to get myself up to pauls again today (vtrphoenix)

Got a bit of a hand with my forks. I could bottom them out quite easily by hand beforehand.





Very manky oil in the forks





All seals and bushed replaced.



New linear K-TECH springs.



A much better colour!







And done....




Also received this today which should compliment the forks nicely. Sprung for my. Just needs a service and a new sticker. May even powder coat the spring.



Once again thanks to Paul. A very helpful man.

Still waiting on stuff coming back from being sprayed and powder coated so on the meantime will be cleaning things up.
Very difficult decision to make removing the engine to paint! I really should leave it

Decided to take the six pots apart and give the a good clean and rebuild today.



You could say they were a bit manky...



But a bit of warm water and washing up liquid did the trick.





Have new seals coming tomorrow (debating whether to bother with seals or not) and they'll be getting a bit of paint.

Also have a 2012 Fireblade radial MC on the way with matching Ant Lion brake and clutch levers which should help the six pots a bit.

I had to research that but yes they are indeed aluminium! That explains it!

Seals should be OK unless any damage but unless you already have it use RedRubber Grease on the seals...

As for the reserch why didn't you just put a magnet on them ?

I don't have a magnet...

I've new seals and grease coming today and will probably replace them once a year given their rep!

Every toolkit should have a magnet on a stick...most handy when you drop that nut/bolt/screw.
