your good at Polishing, not so sure using a hacksaw!!!. Put a nut on, cut the bolt, wind the nut back, file the edge, wind the nut off, Nicely prepped bolt. Easy in, easy out.
missing the noise, not the vibes. However never say never!

The nuts look a tad better than they do in the photo. That was just a comparison photo showing how much I had to take off. I did it with a dremel :D happy to now be cutting metal for a reason!

You should get yourself a polishing wheel kit thing...makes polishing a lot easier.

Today the side casings were finished as well as the cam covers so I stuck them on. Considering replacing the cam covers bolts but they will do for now. New bolts all round for the engine.

Before its picked up on I am aware the timing inspection thing is also black and it is intentional. It's stuck solid and will be replaced at some point but I've too much to get on with

Anyway here it is...

Sometimes it is the little things that be pleasing. I sanded the rotten oil lines and gave them a little paint.
Radiators next.

You're certainly making good headway there Rob, well done mate
The forks, engine, front wheel, six pots and oil lines look brilliant 8)

Which paint have you used on the oil lines :?:

Thanks Chris.
I could not get all the rust off the lines as they're so badly corroded. So I've used good old hammerite straight to metal/rust. If it doesn't hold up I'll just do it again but I think it should be OK

I had a feeling you mentioned Hammerite somewhere, was that spray on, heat resistant or non heat resistant :?:

Just spray on hammerite. I'll see how it goes after a few runs but I think it should be OK.
