So got a pair of rear-sets (thanks Ant) and I ground off the peg brackets, "sanded" down, primed and sprayed black.
Exhaust now have the solid positioning (no wobbling from thinner hangers) and I really quite like the way they look

If it's broken; should it move? Yes: Use WD40 No: Use cable ties. Now it's fixed!

Good job, I have another set of hangers and I've been meaning to do this myself, just haven't had the time!
