The front wheel looks too small for the bike, looks odd.

It's a 17in front, same as the Firestorm

Should be a 19" wheel, that's why it looks odd. What year bike is it ?

2006, strange. All the websites do say it#s a 110/80 19in front, I'll double check next time I go to the garage but I'm certain it's a 17inch front

Seems to be a mod some people do?

Either way I'm not complaining, it handles superbly even on the shitty PR1's

rear wheel looks wrong too, I'm guessing it's got R1200RT Wheels on it... would be worth telling your insurance

I also wondered why you kept it a secret :)
I have to admit YMVirt I never expected your new bike to be a BMW. It certainly looks in very good condition, very clean and tidy. Not really my cup-of-tea, but every one to their own.

I hope you enjoy your new bike young man

Chris.

PS. I've just looked up the bike spec's, I can hardly believe the size of the fuel tank 8O

standard wheels are fine on the bike, they'll keep up with most things on A roads and there's decent rubber available, unless your going on a track days I can't see the point of this mod as it makes the bike look a bit silly at the front, sorry mate just my opinion, rest of the bike looks good though

I wasn't initially looking at a BMW either, to be honest. I was looking at getting another VTR originally, or the previous iteration of the Strom. My Dad recommended them to me and we found one at a dealership nearby, so I just went to take a test ride and get a rough idea.. Didn't expect to put the deposit down after getting back from the test ride though!

It's not mint condition, it's got a few chips and scratches and a few rusty nuts but it is a 10 year old bike with 29k on the clock. Hopefully I'll be able to replace bits and bring it up to an even better condition during my ownership though

Fuel tank is only 20 litres, it's not the adventure model. 200 miles on a tank is more than enough, I like taking a little walk every now and then.

Everyone is allowed an opinion, they seem to be a pretty marmite bike  if that's the case though I'll look at getting an original set of wheels at some point, would love to get some tyres that can handle off roading and give it a go against my brothers Tiger XCX for fun
