Someone earlier said about the modifying thing kicking in...

...does a set of Pilot Road 3s and Hyperpro front springs count? I've only had the mile trip home along 20mph roads but cripes, what a difference...

...bad news is the MOT fail (Microns). Ahem. "Exhaust noise is clearly in excess of that emitted by a similar motor bicycle fitted with a standard silencer in average condition" :shh: (and the headlamp is too high. Wonder if the new springs affected that?)

Taking it back in a couple of days for them to fit baffles and retest. They've already told me how to take them out after...

Nice fresh MOT and the baffles are on the shelf ready to go in next year. Bizarrely at idle it sounded louder with the baffles in than out - but that changed once the revs were up.

They fitted them in such a way that no holes were drilled so it looks ok with them out.

Gotta say the new tyres and springs are a revelation. Transformed it

I do like hyperpro. Real good value for money. You can spend an awful lot more and not get a hole lot more for it :D

surely you all know about the £10 poked in the exhaust for MOT,s thats works down here, just get an advisory ( providing they don't say "Not for road use")
missing the noise, not the vibes. However never say never!

Four years on and with great regret the bike will be up for sale once it's got a new MOT and I've found the time to wash it. It's only got 16,500-odd miles so as you can tell it just sits in the garage mostly. I think the last time it was out was August or so, or maybe longer than that. I need the garage space and a second car...

I'll do a proper advert once that's done and my post count is up to 50, but in the meantime treat this as a preview and look back in this thread for details... I see the pictures have disappeared from this thread as they were with my old ISP, but it's yellow with a belly pan. More to follow...

Try posting in for sale, I can't remember exactly when the 50 post rule came in but if you joined before you have granddad rights and can still post so it's worth a try as you joined in 2013.

That's a good idea.

So I tried one of those webuyanybike places. They offered me £300-500. Er, that's ok thanks but I'll pass.

Wow that is an insult. These kind of buisnesses I think mostly take advantage of those that are truly desperate a bit like cash converters. Very sad and morally wrong IMO. Not a company I would wish to support.
