Today was finally warm enough to get a few things done. Cleaned the upper case so I can start work on it tomorrow.
Then hung the Mori pistons.....

Just need the rings once the cylinders are honed and the rings gaped.
I also have the stock rings laid out as I want to check to see what the factory set the end gap at 8)

Good work, it's a shame those pistons can't be seen once the engine is back together :)

It'll be interesting to see what you find regarding the OEM piston ring gaps :eh:

Good indicators of a cared for engine.
You're good for a set of standard replacements, then.
I always go for Honda original rings, even on aftermarket pistons.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Well looks like things might actually get moving on this as my 1\2 of a rod bearing finally came off back order.
So modified the timing gears and shimmed the valves.

Now to go out and hone the cylinders and next week it should be assembly time for the engine.
The rest of the bike will have to wait until the move is finished :Ball Kick:

Though it has really given me time to look at the cases and do a bit of hand de-burring and cleaning things up
