Nice find and at least in my opinion opens up your bike to just about any mod you want to make.
I say this because unless you plan on going back to the yellow & pink paint scheme then the bike is not "as raced".

So I would have the attitude of, If Midori Moriwaki walked into the shed which bits would he want to hang on the bike.
Like with your front end quandary, Which do you think Mr Mori would choose, the one that looked period correct or the one that gave the best performance?

Besides they are just bolt on bits..... and the bike looks a lot better blue

these spondons, the 6 as they started out as.... iv spent over a year digging, and talking to everybody i can. and some who maybe didnt wana share the info....

but i wanted to know the history of my bike. i didnt want anybody to be able to say, baldrocks thats not the real deal...well it is,at least now I know it is... iv been down some blind alleys and chased bikes that had nothing to do with mine...

its been a bike that was never raced. its been deve heals bike.its been rogers sons bike, its been a copy ,its been mike edwards bike.

very long story short. my bike came to Ireland. the motor blew up and it ended up rebuilt into a street fighter... complete baldrocks that turned out to be.. iv spoken to the owner of said street fighter. he confirmed that as baldrocks as he bought the fighter in london with his mori motor already in it. still with me?

then a chance fone call from the man who actaully owned my bike, the guy who bought it from Revolution racing all those years ago.

he then told me the proper story, first hand from the horses mourh not second hand.. i then checked that story out with Roger who sold the bike to him, and it all checked out..

so. im only dealing with my bike, i have also found out a lot of interesting stuff about the other bikes but thats for there owners to know and not for me to go spilling my guts about.. .

its taken 14 months or so but im like a dog with a bone, i wouldnt let go until i found out..from chassis numbers and the PB2 markings (fuk thats another story all of it own) and the fact mines marked as an HUK bike in its paperwork i can at last say.

i got myself Mike (spike) Edwards ex race bike. .
it doesnt have his motor but has the motor i found last summer, a stage two. motors come and go it was always about the chassis. and after riding mine if its not fast enough, either its major baldrocks being talked or you really need to ride it first lol..

theres a few we bits and bobs missing of mine chassis wise, but that will be sorted next week

finding out the history was harder than finding some of the parts... ...

i have one more box with bits im waiting on to arrive and thats me done with it, its not gona be a garage queen thats for sure its gona get used on the road and it will visit a track day or two and get a dam good spanking ..

getting some of the parts that i was sure could never be found actually turned out easier than i thought. the bits are out there you just have to keep looking but they do turn up. stage 3 engine parts are all gone it appears but this yoke never had a s3 donkey anyhow and it more than goes well enough to keep me happy.

Wow...well done. Nice for you to have the history behind it. They chose some strange colour combinations for these bikes. What's with the diffrent colour wheels. I think that looks well strange.

i dont think they had ramair. maybe wrong but i dont see any way of feeding the airbox. iv seen the bodywork this bike was delivered with when it came to Ireland and it didnt have ramair 100% sure of that ..

i think it was more the constraints of the class it was run in..

after a good yarn with M Edwards on the subject of what it was like to race and the handling it made interesting listening..

engine wise im more than happy with whats in mine, Roger done a dam fine job on that , and iv seen the lap times this engine has been round kirkistown, my track local.... also a few years ago i was on track with what i later bought as the castrol bike and he near tore my paint of my yellow one going past me lol..

1.05 was my best time round it and that was tying myself and the yellow one in knots . but still over 4 seconds behind the bike i ended up buying for the mori donkey..
