Evening all

Post by 0gri »

Hello peeps, feeling ashamed with myself 'couse i've just posted a plea for help in the workshop without introducing myself so here goes.I spent months scanning fleebay for the model i lusted after (19 litre tank, lcd dash and red),found quite a few and a couple i really liked and wanted but they were all up north (i'm a southern softie essex boy, well, old git)and being a lazy so and so and not fancying riding home from up north in the middle of winter i waited, and waited, untill one day,oh happy day,i found just what i wanted not ten miles from home.2004,4 previous owners 24000 miles, stage 1 dynojet kit,k&n filter, remus revolution cans, set up on a dyno with read out.lovely jubbley.Everything else is standard and in very good condition,i'm pretty sure its been garaged and seen very little rain(and thats how its going to stay).Doing the mcct swap at the moment and taking the opportunity while carbs are off to give em a good clean.I'd only ridden it a couple of hundred miles (loved every exhaust thumping mile)before reading about the cct problem here.I couldnt get the image of a hand grenade with the pin hanging out,out of my mind so it had to be done.Hopefully i'll be back on the road for the weekend in time for brands bsb,and if anyone sees me chugging around in east anglia give us a nod,i promise i'll nod back

Welcome, fella, good to find another southern storm out and about.
Was thinking about Brands this weekend, there's a couple of good tribute bands on Saturday night as well, but looking at the weather I may just watch it on the telly this time round. And I can hear it from my back garden.....
I'll definitely be at the end of year brands round, though.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
