VTR FROM WALES

Post by WELSHPHILL »

Hi gang, i'm all new to firestorms, but not bikes. i've just picked up a bit of a rolling'riding project in the shape of a 97 VTR

i have a few plans (Cagiva mito seat unit), hi-level exhausts and she has a problem of jumping out of 2nd gear

so i will be asking questions, picking you're bains and trolling thru the forum for ideas...

Yep, selector forks right enough. That's an engine out jobbie, I'm afraid.

But you can leave the heads on, and the crank and pistons in the top crakcase half; just lift the bottom case off (watch out for the three hidden bolts inside the cases) and the gearbox shafts lift out for an easy fork swap.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

It might be, 95 is what Ron said at the petrol pump the other day.
The earliest I've seen was a P plate one I broke a few years ago.

Welcome along. Had a bike jumping out of gear before and it was a bent selector
