Post by Keef »

Hi there, just joined, been riding a few years (old man now) just bought my first Firestorm,'P' reg few nice mods,hi level Quills, full fairings, seat cowl etc, picking it up next week, can't wait ;-)
I know i can't post in the wanted section, but the only thing I need for the bike is a new tank (in red) as it's dented,if any one has one for sale, please get in touch.
Not sure if the later one fits ? if any one can advise me,that would be great.
Many thanks
Keef.

welcome to the club ...... you will enjoy the bike and the forum.

the newer 19l tanks will fit, but need mods for both the fuel tap and the sender for the fuel gauge.... oh and they are way more expensive and rare to find. so if it just a cosmetic desire, stay with the old 16L version

Thanks for the replies lads,I'm in sunny Brum ;-)
and not fussed about the extra 3L of fuel,so just looking for an early tank I guess ?
Just sold my Tuono,nice bike,but didn't feel like a V twin really,bit odd,more like a four or a triple !
owned a few V2's in my time, old air cooled Duc SS900 (whish I still had that),oh and had an original TL1000s back in the day....
Test rode the VTR,and it reminded me of the TL ! it's love x !!!

Hi Keef

I'm relatively new to the forum myself and found the guys who have replied to me really great. I've had a few storm in the past and just got myself a black P reg. needs nothing doing to it so obviously I'm going to pull it to bits!? Lol
Good luck with your storm mate
