Today I ordered some rim striping in red, hope to make her a little bit better looking :D
Later this week I will get new tires front+back, going for the Dunlop Roadsmart 2.
Next on the list will be a nice black DB screen and smaller indicators :D

Hi, I'm late jumping on this thread but...
Just ignore kev and the other blues brothers, its just jealousy which stems from owning inferior storms to those of us with the brighter outlook!

Thanks for the kind words guys :Beer1:

I've got a little addition I forgot about.. Unfortunately the sound of a 2-cilinder bike is so hard to capture on a phone mic, but hey you get the idea :biggrin

Recently stumbled upon some bargains on a Dutch forum. Bought a black bugspoiler for 3,8 GBP, and an exhaust manifold for 26,5 GBP.

I'm planning to paint the bugspoiler red, but first going to see how it looks in black.

The exhaust will be mounted after I give it a good cleaning and maybe polished it, and when the other one needs to come off. The other one has some dents, so probably will try to repair those.

I will soon be looking for a set of new rubbers, have any of you got any experience with the Dunlop Road Smart II on the Storm?

Oh and thanks for the welcome both of you!
Roadsmart 2 are an excellent tyre, I liked them so much I bought the same next time.
They stand up to a track day well, too!

Jonesy now has my wheels on his ride, with my part-worn Sportsmart 2's on, so it would be interesting to see what he thinks of them.
And once the Racetec's have worn out on my SP2 I'll be fitting sportsmart 2's.

And I had high-level MIG carbon cans on my Storm for years. I shortened the sleeves slightly to avoid the "wheelbarrow" look and slim the tail down, And MIG carbon sleeves are thicker than most other makes of can's sleeves, so they last without blowing themselves apart.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Bloody hell Marty if you had kept all your originals you would have a 20Ft shipping Container on your Nans roof. Welcome aboard. Get them wheels white and enjoy blasting up all the hills using that torque. Oh just seen where you live. enjoy them flats
missing the noise, not the vibes. However never say never!

So far the Roadsmarts do their job perfect, now travelled about 4k miles with them I think.

I really think those are among the best looking cans on a Storm! Maybe one day I will get my hands on one of those :D

Not really new things happening.. Just enjoying the bike and exploring things with an action cam. Already a lot of onboard footage from the helm mount, but I need to take some time to process it. Also made a small video of me driving by a couple of times, want to do it again soon, but this time somewhere with preferably a bit less wind noise and a more stretched piece of road so I can really twist that throttle and pull it through some gears.
