Hello from the other side

Post by -Floris- »

Hi guys I'm Floris, almost 25 now and have purchased my first Storm in August. :biggrin It's a '97 red one, completely standard except the mcct's. I still have my previous/first bike (Suzuki GS500e) but planning to sell it after the winter.

I've got a few things on my wishlist like:
-dbb smoke/dark screen
-a nice set of cans---Mivv low-mounts fitted
-hugger (and then repainting it along with my belly pan in red)
-smaller indicators/maybe rear light with integrated ones
-(imitation) CNC milled levers
-red rim stickers
-dynojet kit
-fender extender

Based on my English, you might have guessed I'm not from 'your' side of the North Sea.. Well that's correct, I'm from the Netherlands, Middelburg to be precise (South-West, close to shore). I just think there's a lot of information and inspiration on this board and I happen to like your sense of humor

Last but not least a few pics of the Storm..

Hah! :D
When I read "Hello from the otherside" I thought you were going to be the ghost of Christmas past or something
So glad it was just the other side of the North Sea, I don't think we are ready for a psychic section on the forum yet
:D Welcome Aboard :D

Welcome to the club. Nice looking storm, there are loads of modding idea's, and help on here. As to the humour, hmmmm, yes I suppose there is some. How else can you explain those sad delusional individual's who maintain yellow and red are acceptable colours!!!!

Welcome aboard, you will start to read some of the information on here, and by this time next year you will have a list of mods you want to do and some that have already been done. It's a danger coming here, too many ideas.

Greetings from literally the other side of the water. Next time I'm in Harwich I'll wave

Good to hear the MCCTs have been sorted - add an upgraded R/R if you still have original self-cooking early unfinned version fitted.

Hello and welcome, looks like a good bike... Don't know about the sense of humour though, I can see the blues brothers have already embarrassed them selves :D

I'll grab my binoculars and wave back
I forgot that one.. It has already been replaced by an aftermarket version :)

I also forgot a modification that is waiting at my place to be installed. I have a set of clip-ons of a VFR750 ready to be mounted on the Storm.

Thanks, it had done around 41000 km when I bought it (25500 mile for you guys).
Haha it's fine with me, lightens up a long day at work

Thanks all for the warm welcome!

welcome to the forum buddy, that's a nice clean bike, I must be getting old because I like the standard look, what ever changes you make, keep all the original parts, if ever you sell the bike in the future, it will help with the sale....
