Hi,
Recently bought a 98' silver vtr. Hopefully get delivered this weekend. Owned one the same colour from new in 2000 bought from Whylie and Hollands in Market Drayton. Only took my ZX9 in for an mot, went for a test ride and was hooked. :D :D :D

Any other owners in the Wrexham area?

Would also like to ask if anyone has some road legal can with removable baffles for sale let me know

Cheers Mike

welcome to the team, enjoy the new world of firestorm and the strange folks who own them.

lots of options for cans, but a cheap and easy solution is to take the baffle out of the standard ones, but note that this is not reversible!.

it give a nice deep V2 noise, but not too stupid loud, it cost nothing and looks stock for MOTs. Biggest down side is that you don't get the weight saving as the stock cans weigh a few tons each... but they do make good crash protection for the back of the bike, as they don't crush when you are sliding down the race track on them.

you can also pick up a spare set of stds for very little money so you can sell it with the std quiet ones on if you want to.

Thanks for the welcome. When I owned one between 2000 -5 I fitted art cans but these were way to noisy for so fitted some scorpions which were much better. I will try taking out the baffle on the originals. Thought there might of been a lot more used cans on ebay, plenty of originals but no used race cans

Welcome aboard Mike

It was a toss-up between Scorpions and Art cans for me back in 2002 or thereabouts. In the end I went with Scorpions as I knew they were not so loud as you found out :) but still loud enough IMHO,

Chris.
