Weekend racing and news (spoiler)

Post by Kev L »

Shame for poor old Scott in Moto 2. If you saw the slo mo of the crash, he actually raised his damaged right hand off the bars and into the air before the impact with Rabbats bike. Lucky he didn't get any further injuries, and hopefully next year will be better for him.

I read in the bike press that Ben Spies has announced his retirement from racing following the damage to both his shoulders and limited recovery from surgery. Sorry to see him go and can't help feeling he could have achieved more with some lucky breaks.

Yeah that was a bad crash for Scott, I was fearing the worst as it seemed as he hit Rabat's bike the wreckage hit Rabat's head...Nasty.

Still I have more screws in my wrist than Scott, he's a lightweight mate.

He's also far more skilled than me & probably much richer so we'll call it quits...

It's his left wrist that has the screws in not the right.

Real shame for Scott, think he's probably best to sit out the last round, why risk it.

Shame Spies is retiring, he's made some strange choices over the last couple of years but i'm sure he would have been back on it without the injuries.
